I use data, programming, and visuals to tell stories online. These samples were created using languages and libraries like HTML, JavaScript, and D3, and/or using data compiled and analyzed with R, Python, QGIS, and many other tools. The samples include alternative design layouts I created, embeddable charts, interactive maps, and collaborative multimedia projects. One story earned a James Beard Foundation Award for innovative and visual storytelling; another was nominated for the same award the following year, and another the year after that. Two other projects I helped build won Society of News Design (SND) awards.
